Role Overview:

Mercor is seeking experienced Uruguayan Lawyers with a background in litigation or corporate/transactional law to support a data collection project focused on public legal and financial documents in Uruguay. This project-based, remote role is key to advancing AI-driven legal solutions through high-quality, structured data. You’ll be responsible for identifying, compiling, and verifying legal content that supports both internal model development and external demonstrations of next-generation AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and organize publicly available legal and financial documents in accordance with provided project guidelines.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and clarity in all documentation submitted.
• Follow a defined process for structured data collection and quality assurance.
• Verify the credibility and origin of all sources used, ensuring they are publicly accessible and legally compliant.
• Work asynchronously and communicate effectively with the project manager to meet all deadlines.

Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of recent legal practice in litigation or corporate/transactional law within Uruguay.
• Deep familiarity with Uruguayan legal and regulatory frameworks, including key document sources.
• Proven ability to work independently while following structured workflows.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong time management and ability to meet short turnaround times with consistent quality.
• Proficiency in Spanish and the ability to interpret and handle legal documents accurately.

Role Details:

• Type: Part-time, project-based (2–3 weeks expected duration)
• Engagement: 10–20 hours per week, flexible based on availability
• Work Mode: Fully remote, asynchronous work schedule
• Compensation: $50–$80 per hour
