About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Director to lead our business development and sales operations across Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate will be a local Chinese professional with a strong understanding of regional markets, deep client relationships, and proven leadership in B2B or B2G sales.

This position is fully remote, with regular regional travel as required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Strategy & Business Expansion

  • Analyze the regional market trends and competitive landscape across Southeast Asia, and develop tailored go-to-market strategies.
  • Lead large-scale bid and tender projects from opportunity identification to contract winning.
  • Formulate competitive pricing policies and adjust strategies based on real-time market feedback.

2. Key Account Development & Management

  • Identify, develop, and manage strategic accounts (enterprise and government).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and manage end-to-end deal processes, ensuring successful project delivery and payment collection.
  • Stay embedded with key clients to fully understand their evolving business needs and deliver value-driven solutions.

3. Sales Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage, coach, and empower the regional sales team to achieve business targets.
  • Act as a mentor to strengthen team capabilities in strategic selling, account management, and leadership.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively across time zones and cultural boundaries to ensure cohesive team execution.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & External Relations

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (product, supply chain, operations, etc.) to align resources and support front-line business efforts.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local governments, chambers of commerce, and business partners.
  • Adapt swiftly to dynamic overseas markets and handle business contingencies with sound judgment.

Qualifications (Essential)

  • Sales Experience: 3+ years of successful B2B or B2G sales experience, with a proven track record in international or overseas markets.
  • Management Experience: 3+ years of experience leading and developing a regional or cross-border sales team.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in both Mandarin and English (spoken and written) for business-level communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in Energy or related industries.
  • Experience managing multi-division, multi-product business lines or platform-based sales operations.
  • Proven success leading cross-cultural, multi-location teams.
  • Fluency in one or more Southeast Asian languages is a plus.
