JOB DETAILS:
JOB SUMMARY
The Recruitment and Acquisition Specialist is central to driving the recruitment and placement of scholars and alumni into the Mastercard Foundation Associate Program. This role involves the strategic development and execution of recruitment initiatives, coordination with in-country program coordinators and scholar corps, and the design and delivery of the Prep2Soar employability program. The specialist is also responsible for developing and coordinating in-work support training for associates to enhance their internship experiences.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Talent Sourcing and Engagement:
• Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent from scholars and alumni, leveraging direct sourcing, social media, and partnerships with educational institutions.
• Coordinate with in-country program coordinators and scholar corps to tailor recruitment efforts to specific program needs.
• Design and manage the Prep2Soar program, a two-week training aimed at boosting employability and preparing candidates for successful placements
2. Recruitment and Placement:
• Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a seamless and efficient process from job posting to final selection and placement.
• Collaborate with program coordinators to match candidates with suitable roles, ensuring optimal fit and alignment with career aspirations.
• Maintain strong relationships with hosting employers to facilitate effective placements and support ongoing professional development.
3. In-Work Support and Training Coordination:
• Identify developmental needs and coordinate in-work support training to maximize associates’ performance and job satisfaction during their internships.
• Monitor and adjust training programs to align with associate needs and program objectives.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
• Work with educational institutions, training providers, and industry partners to ensure recruitment and training programs meet current market demands and opportunities.
• Engage regularly with all stakeholders to ensure clarity of processes and alignment of expectations.
5. Performance Monitoring and Evaluation:
• Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and training programs, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.
• Track key recruitment metrics, providing regular reports on outcomes, candidate quality, and program impact to the Program Lead.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills:

• Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HR databases, and candidate management systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple tasks.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably within an NGO or international development setting.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing effective training and development programs.
