Role Overview
We are seeking a well-presented, courteous, and customer-focused Receptionist to serve as the face and first point of contact for our esteemed guests. This role requires a warm, professional demeanor, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a strong sense of hospitality. The ideal candidate will have experience in front desk operations, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism upon arrival and ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process.
- Manage guest reservations efficiently using the hotel’s property management system (PMS).
- Provide accurate information about the retreat center’s services, facilities, schedules, and local attractions.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and other correspondence in a professional manner.
- Maintain an organized and clean front desk area.
- Process payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate billing records.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring swift resolution or escalation to the appropriate department.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance departments to ensure seamless guest services.
- Maintain guest confidentiality and adhere to all data protection regulations.
- Record and relay messages accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in administrative duties including filing, printing, and preparing guest welcome materials.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of a Diploma in Hospitality Management, Front Office Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in a hotel, lodge, or hospitality setting.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with hotel management software (e.g., OPERA, RoomRaccoon, Cloudbeds) is an added advantage.
