Job Purpose: To protect wildlife resources, property and human life in area of deployment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

i. Conducting patrols/operations to protect wildlife resources in and around the Protected Areas.

ii. Detecting and proactively preventing wildlife crime.

iii. Arresting, searching and supporting prosecution of suspects involved in illegal wildlife activities.

iv. Providing security to wildlife resources, property, staff and visitors within the Protected Areas.

v. Collecting and recording field data for Management decision making.

vi. Supporting problem animal control.

vii. Supporting the rescue, capture and translocation of wildlife.

viii. Operating radios and disseminating information to relevant personnel.

ix. Gathering and relaying intelligence to relevant personnel.

x. Monitoring protected area boundaries to deter encroachment.

xi. Understanding wildlife inventories and surveys.

xii. Preparing and submitting operational reports.

Personal Specifications

a. Qualifications: Uganda Certificate of Education with a pass in English language.
