Position Title: Various Positions (Construction and Project Support Roles)
Reporting To: Relevant Department Heads
Location: Uganda (Tilenga EPSCC Project Sites and Supporting Facilities)
Employment Type: Full-Time
About Sinopec Uganda
Sinopec International Petroleum Service Corporation Uganda is an engineering company specializing in the construction of the oil pipelines of the Tilenga EPSCC project and supporting facilities for oilfield development. We are looking for skilled professionals and support staff to contribute to the successful execution of our construction and project goals.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on the specific position, the following general responsibilities apply:
• Technical and Engineering Roles:
o Design, implement, and supervise engineering processes in compliance with project specifications.
o Conduct inspections, quality assurance, and quality control (QA/QC) of all assigned tasks.
o Oversee construction site operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency.
o Manage the installation, testing, and maintenance of project equipment and infrastructure.
• Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSSE):
o Implement and monitor safety and environmental standards.
o Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with HSSSE guidelines.
o Provide training and coordination for safety supervisors and related personnel.
• Administrative and Support Roles:
o Manage project documentation, procurement, and logistics.
o Support human resources functions, including recruitment and training.
• Specialized Roles:
o Coordinate the procurement, transportation, and inventory of materials.
o Serve as liaison officers for community and stakeholder engagement.
o Provide translation services for international teams.
Qualifications and Requirements
The qualifications vary based on the position but may include:
• Educational Requirements:
o Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or technical certification in engineering, construction management, safety, environmental science, or a related field.
• Experience:
o Relevant work experience in oil and gas, construction, or a related field.
o Experience in supervisory, technical, or operational roles is preferred.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in QA/QC processes, safety protocols, and construction methodologies.
o Strong knowledge of equipment operation, project management tools, and material handling.
• Soft Skills:
o Excellent organizational and communication skills.
o Ability to work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team.
o Problem-solving, leadership, and adaptability under pressure.
Roles Available:
This recruitment covers a wide range of roles, including but not limited to:
• Engineering and Technical Roles: Electricians, QA/QC Inspectors, Piping Engineers, Welders, Land Surveyors, and Structural Engineers.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSSSE) Roles: HSSSE Lead/Officer, Environment Advisor, Safety Supervisors.
• Operational Support Roles: Drivers, Storemen, Document Controllers, and Material Inventory Clerks.
• Administrative Roles: HR Officers, Procurement Officers, Planning Engineers, and Translators.
