ABOUT THE ROLE

The Quality Improvement Officer will be responsible for:

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the design, implementation and monitoring of quality improvement
  • Applying 5S-QI-CQI-TQM methodologies, strengthening capacity building, enhancing monitoring and evaluation systems, promoting data-driven decision making and contributing to operational research
  • Aiming to improve service delivery, health outcomes and sustainability of quality care

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a medical or health-related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Public Health or relevant field is a strong advantage

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in health systems, clinical mentorship or similar.
  • Experience working with district health and facility QI teams with strong skills in mentorship.
  • Experience preparing technical documents such as abstracts, case studies, learning briefs preferably within MNCH or QI
  • Familiarity with Uganda’s health sector policies, standards and guidelines.
