We are seeking for a suitable candidate to fill the Position of Quality Assurance Tester.
Reports to: Head of Innovations & Business Transformation
Job purpose:

As a software tester, the resource will be involved in the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment. The will conduct manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose. Support and conduct System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Pre-and Post-Production activities and other deliverables. Project management tasks as needed to ensure the quality of delivery of changes going into the production environment are stable and secure.

Key Result Areas:

• Working with developers and analysts to find solutions
• Front and back end testing
• Run manual test
• Testing in different environments including web and mobile
• Working towards departmental and project deadlines
• Quality assurance: Ensure that new features does not impact any other countries and that system risk is always managed and monitored.
• Working on multiple projects at one time
• Communicating findings to technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Ensure that all test results are saved for audit trail purposes (QA and UAT).
• Responsible for Environment readiness (System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing and Production).
• Ensure that system stability is tested prior any releases.
• Designs the test plan, test cases and test scenario’s based on business and technical specifications.
• End to end System testing, including negative, regression and business case testing.
• Ensure internal as well as external users have access to all applications on all environments and the necessary roles and rights have been given to do User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Must be able to spot issues and risks ahead of time, to plan and avoid issues, rather than reacting to them.
• Liaising and consulting with 3rd parties on testing requirements, schedules and approach.
• Responsible for accepting any development changes into the SIT, UAT and Production phase of the project.
• Provide 3rd level support for platform based solutions under purview before final escalation to vendor/OEM.
• Contribute to research goals and build on and refine appropriate outline ideas for the evaluation, development, demonstration and implementation of research
• Any other Duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications and Experience:
  • • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Computing, Commerce, Accounting, Business Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
    OR
    • Degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science/ Telecom or related field
    • At least 2 years’ work experience in Bank Digital Channels or IT
    • Demonstrated experience in driving innovation and change agendas in Financial Services (able to demonstrate blue-sky thinking);
    • Demonstrated ability to link and apply complex technologies to business strategies
    • Strong skills in business process analysis as well understanding of banking operations and FinTech trends;
    • Strong understanding and experience in Digital Banking platforms
    • Sound knowledge of programming / systems analysis, as well as quality assurance, prototyping, construction, integration, and migration functions
    • Sound Knowledge of API Banking Technologies
