JOB DETAILS:

Duties Brief

  • Work with study team to identify and approach potential study participants.
  • Conduct in-depth interviews (IDIs) with caregivers ensuring non-biased, consistent, complete and accurate data is collected from study participants.
  • Transcribe all interviews conducted in English and where necessary translate the interviews from the local language to English using meaning based translation.
  •  Adhere to the principles of ethical research when conducting research involving human subjects in the conduct of all study activities including maintaining confidentiality among others.
  •   Participate in debrief meetings with the study team on a daily basis during the data collection period and at the end of the data collection process.
  •    Participate in qualitative data synthesis and analysis following fieldwork.
  •    Writing contact summaries detailing stories of the study participants.
  •     Conduct the informed consent process with study participants.

Qualification Required

Required.

Added advantage.

  • Masters degree in humanities including Social work, Social Science, sociology, community psychology, Development Studies or any other relevant health related field.
  • Ability to communicate in Luganda fluently.
  • Experience documenting participant stories, and collecting/writing success stories and case studies.
