Provides training, audits sites, manages environmental procedures, and coordinates IMS improvements with departments. Maintains records, addresses corrective actions, liaises with clients, and analyzes annual incident reports.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures the implementation & monitor the performance of the Integrated Management System (IMS) (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO45001 & ISO 22301).
  • Ensures compliance with legal and other requirements.
  • Suggests policies and procedures related to the IMS and shares them with the Group QHSE Representative.
  • Generates and analyzes reports related to the performance of the IMS of the operation.
  • Generates Reports and submits them to the Direct Supervisor and Group QHSE on the performance of the IMS and suggest improvement when needed.
  • Works closely with the Heads of Departments and makes sure all procedures are properly communicated and understood.
  • Determines training needs and makes sure related people (mainly QHSE Representatives) undergo necessary courses.
  • Provides in-house customized trainings when needed.
  • Follows up on the audit plans and analyze reports from his/her subordinate.
  • Ensures reduction of water consumption.
  • Ensures the effective application of Environmental Procedures.
  • Improves employee environmental awareness.
  • Visits company sites for inspection, investigation, audit and maintenance of the IMS.
  • Ensures the continual improvement of quality of services, health & safety of the employees & the environment.
  • Manages the program of suppliers & subcontractors’ audits.
  • Receives suggestions to reduce waste and increase efficiency from his/her subordinate(s) and approve their implementation where needed.
  • Investigates on the improvement methods applied by the competitors to make sure the company is working as effectively as possible.
  • Conducts pop up audits or whenever required by the Group/Direct Supervisor.
  • Ensures that employees are abiding by the procedures
  • Builds effective relationships with clients, subcontractors and partners to support the Company's core safety values
  • Ensures the establishment and maintenance of records to provide evidence that the IMS is being followed, and that a system is in place for the identification, storage, protection, retrieval, retention time and disposal of such records.
  • Ensures the Local QHSE Supervisor is working with all company departments to make suggestions on procedures, policies and systems.
  • Coordinates continual improvements of the IMS with the departments, to ensure that evidence of corrective actions taken are recorded and reviewed.
  • Follows up on the IMS Objectives set by Top Management for measuring the performance of the IMS.
  • Acts as key contact with the clients; auditors and be responsible for ensuring the execution of corrective actions and ongoing compliance with clients specifications.
  • Assists on the External Audit as requested by the Group QHSE Representative.
  • Arranges for the appropriate safety training for employees to Company requirements
  • Analyzes at year end all accidents, incidents, near miss reports and non-conformances and report to Direct Supervisor as well as Group QHSE.

 

IMS ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reports any hazards or risks in addition to accidents/incident to QHSE department.
  • Be aware of and complies to company IMS Policy.
  • Abides by company local legal and client requirements.
  • Attends and engages in IMS awareness sessions.
  • Ensures that all IMS procedures are regularly followed and raises the issue when they are not.

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

  • 6-10 years of relative work experience.
  • Ability and willingness to travel overseas up to 80% of the time.
  • An aptitude for exercising independent thinking and reasoning.
  • Ability to communicate in written and oral formats with diplomacy and tact.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Engineering.
  • Lead Auditor in QMS, EMS, OHSMS and BCMS or equivalent experience
  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Equivalent
