About the Company:
Dei BioPharma Ltd is a biotech and pharmaceutical research firm duly incorporated in Uganda, specializing in the development and manufacture of innovative medicines and vaccines. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, situated in Matugga, Wakiso district, Uganda, shall produce high-quality medicines across a wide range of therapeutic areas.
Job Summary: To perform sampling, testing, and timely release of raw materials while ensuring full compliance with GMP standards in the laboratory environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform sampling and testing of raw materials using approved analytical methods
- Monitor raw material shelf life and schedule re-testing as required
- Develop and maintain material specifications, test methods, and SOPs
- Prepare standard operating procedures for raw material sampling and testing
- Maintain accurate analytical records and retention samples
- Compile and report monthly KPIs for the Raw Material Laboratory
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of analytical equipment
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Analytical Chemistry (Master’s preferred)
- Experience: 2-3 years in QC raw material testing within pharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge: Thorough understanding of GMP, GLP, GDP, and regulatory guidelines (FDA, EMA, WHO)
Skills:
- Proficiency in analytical laboratory techniques
- Strong documentation practices
- Compliance-oriented mindset
