Background information about the job or company:
As a Public Relations Officer (PR Officer), you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's public image and reputation. You will work closely with the PR Director to develop and execute strategic public relations initiatives and campaigns that enhance the company's visibility, credibility, and positive perception.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with media representatives, journalists, bloggers and influencers.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare timely reports on public relations efforts and brand sentiment.
- Write and distribute press releases and media kits to promote company news and events.
- Respond to media inquiries and arrange interviews with company spokespeople.
- Develop compelling, newsworthy content for press releases, articles, blog posts, and social media.
- Create engaging visual content, including images and videos, to accompany PR campaigns.
- Ensure brand consistency and integrity across all communication channels, including print, digital, and social media platforms.
- Plan, organize, and execute press conferences, product launches, and other public events.
- Monitor and manage the company's social media channels to promote positive engagement and address concerns.
- Assist in the development of crisis communication strategies and protocols.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and government agencies.
- Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and threats.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field.
- Proven experience of at least 2 years in public relations, preferably in a similar role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
- Familiarity with media relations, social media platforms, and PR tools.
