Reports to: Director/Head of Communications

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Relations Officer to manage our organization's reputation, develop and implement effective communication strategies, and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement public relations strategies: Create and execute plans to enhance the organization's image and reputation.
2. Media Relations: Manage media inquiries, respond to press releases, and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets.
3. Crisis Communications: Develop and implement crisis communication plans to mitigate negative publicity.
4. Internal Communications: Design and disseminate internal communications to stakeholders, including employees, customers, and partners.
5. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and industry partners.
6. Social Media Management: Develop and implement social media strategies to engage with stakeholders and promote the organization's brand.
7. Event Planning: Organize and coordinate events, conferences, and press conferences to promote the organization's brand and interests.
8. Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analyze data to inform public relations strategies and measure their effectiveness.

Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree: In Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
2. At least 2 years of experience: In a public relations or communications role.
3. Excellent communication skills: Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
4. Strong problem-solving skills: Ability to think critically and develop effective solutions.
5. Collaboration and teamwork: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
