Overview

We’re seeking a seasoned, emotionally intelligent PR Consultant to elevate the public presence of Rebecca Stone, a psychotherapist, author, and infidelity recovery expert. This project focuses on cultural storytelling that intersects trauma, relationships, and healing—aiming to reach top-tier publications and podcasts shaping national conversations.

Job Highlights

Hourly Rate: USD 7.80

Schedule: Flexible, aligned with client’s ET timezone

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor

Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine a comprehensive media/podcast strategy
• Craft custom pitches for major media outlets (e.g., NYT, Oprah Daily, TIME, Modern Love)
• Identify and pitch to high-impact podcasts aligned with Rebecca’s voice and mission
• Position the client’s work as cultural commentary, not just expertise
• Build and maintain relationships with relevant editors/producers
• Provide light media training and editorial support as needed

Requirements

• Proven track record in securing national media and podcast features (portfolio required)
• Exceptional writing and pitch-crafting skills
• Familiarity with mental health, wellness, or relational psychology topics
• High emotional intelligence and understanding of public vulnerability
• Strong organization and follow-up skills

Preferred Experience

• PR experience with therapists, authors, or trauma-informed professionals
• Familiarity with restorative justice, infidelity recovery, or intergenerational trauma
• Media relationships in the personal growth or therapy space
• Integration of PR with book publicity or retreat/speaking promotion
