JOB DETAILS:
Mission 1: Management
1. Manager as a Role Model:
o Embody HI's values daily and act as a role model.
2. Manager as a Coach for Meaning:
o Understand and translate strategy into operational objectives for the team.
o Lead necessary changes and provide meaning to each management action.
o Encourage inter- and intra-departmental exchanges of practices, innovation, and risk-taking.
3. Operational Manager:
o Organize the operational management of the team.
o Structure work around identified processes and steer performance.
o Facilitate problem resolution.
4. First HR & Coach:
o Develop staff commitment, professionalism, and alignment with HI values.
o Ensure compliance with the code of conduct, institutional policies, and expected behaviors.
Mission 2: Operational Implementation
Responsibility 1: Project Planning and Implementation
• Plan and prepare activities, tools, and resources with the support services and technical unit.
• Implement the action plan and ensure resources are allocated correctly, as authorized by the project manager.
• Regularly report on activities and contribute to internal and external reporting.
• Identify and propose project adjustments and amendments when necessary.
• Coordinate with local stakeholders and monitor partnership relationships.
• Properly archive project documents and information.
Responsibility 2: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL)
• Monitor project activities and ensure progress aligns with expected outcomes.
• Contribute to project evaluations and implement recommendations.
• Set up accountability mechanisms and ensure smooth operations.
• Support project learning and knowledge sharing.
Responsibility 3: Data Management
• Ensure proper data collection and management tools are in place and used effectively.
• Collect and compile project data in the relevant database.
Responsibility 4: Team Coordination
• Facilitate coordination meetings between project teams and support services as needed.
• Ensure collaboration between project teams and shared/technical services.
Responsibility 5: External Communication
• Contribute to HI's external influence through participation in networks when required.
• Communicate project updates to partners, authorities, and stakeholders.
Mission 3: Emergency Preparedness and Response
• Support the program's emergency preparedness initiatives.
• In emergency situations, adapt work arrangements to contribute to HI’s humanitarian response.
Education & Experience
Mandatory:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Project Management, Business Administration, Education).
• Previous experience in project management or a related role.
• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in project management in a similar role.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in SRHR/GBV-related fields.
Desirable:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills for conveying complex information clearly and effectively.
• Ability to facilitate group discussions, encourage participation, and manage group dynamics.
• Experience working with an NGO (local/international).
• Experience working with persons with disabilities in both humanitarian and development contexts.
Personal Skills & Technical Competencies
Core Competencies:
• Intervention Strategy: Ability to plan and execute effective strategies.
• Planning, Monitoring, and Coordination: Proficiency in organizing and overseeing activities.
• Operational Partnerships: Skills in managing collaborations effectively.

• Planning and Conducting Surveys: Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research.
• Project Evaluation: Conduct evaluations and implement lessons learned.

Technical Skills:
• Supply planning and cash management.
• Managing major risks, including safeguarding, fraud, corruption, and financial risks.
