JOB DETAILS:
The Project and Strategy Officer will report to the Projects and Strategy Manager.
Main purpose of the Job:
He /She will support the Projects & Strategy Manager to drive strategic initiatives and project management efforts within Pride. This role involves close collaboration with senior leadership to ensure that strategic goals are achieved by developing, executing, and monitoring key projects.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Support the development and execution of the bank’s strategic plan by analyzing market trends, competitive landscape, and internal capabilities.
• Coordinate the strategic planning sessions including but not limited to data collection, facilitation of focused group discussions & documentation of the strategic plan.
• Preparation of relevant reports for the quarterly strategy review meetings.
• Identify and Initiate the writing of proposals to donors to secure funding to support Pride projects.
• Initiating and coordinating the implementation of Pride’s projects.
• Facilitate the development and designing of projects.
• Coordinate engagements with relevant stakeholders during the definition of project requirements, scope, deliverables and plans.
• Monitor implementation, track progress and prepare weekly and monthly strategy execution and project reports to communicate to stakeholders.
• Manage engagements with vendors and third parties during project implementation to ensure projects are delivered within the defined constraints.
• Create and maintain updated comprehensive project documentation including both physical and online repositories.
• Support the Projects and Strategy Manager in preparing relevant partnership documentation where appropriate such as MOUs, NDAs, and Agreements etc.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business heads, regulatory bodies, and vendors.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input, generate ideas and obtain consensus on key projects and initiatives.
• Provide training and support to project teams.
• Proactively identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and report any escalated risks to the Projects and Strategy Manager.
Minimum academic qualifications, Experience & competences:-
• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Statistics, International Development, Economics, Engineering and any other related field
• Certificate in any project management methodology will be an added advantage.
• At least 2 years of professional work experience in project management preferably in the financial industry.
• Experience in strategy development and execution.
