JOB DETAILS:
Responsible for day to day management, oversight, monitoring and reporting on the Project and any other Project segment within Opportunity Bank Uganda ltd.
Key Result Areas:
• Drive the execution of the detailed implementation plan for the Project in accordance with the agreement between OBUL, Opportunity International, and other partners involved in these Projects.
• Maintain partnerships with Opportunity International to ensure that stories are funded.
• Coordinate all OBUL’s relevant internal staff who support the project to deliver on their tasks within the project namely the Branch Managers, Relationship Officers, Assistant Branch Managers to effectively support the visits to women groups for story profiling
• Data collection and reporting on project progress, on monthly, quarterly and on an annual basis to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
• Work with Regional Managers, Branch Managers, and Relationship Supervisors to pursue common goals in developing and growing OBUL’s business through projects.
• Promote utilization of other bank products across all the branches across the country.
• Roll out the use of technology platforms among the home improvement loan beneficiaries through the use of tablet technology for account opening and repeat loan application.
• Work with the Communication and Marketing team to ensure that well-thought through market materials are designed and distributed to the beneficiaries to attract more clients to the bank.
• Manage all the processes of the project monitoring, evaluation and learning cycle of the projects including conducting interviews and focus group discussions with project beneficiaries in coordination with joint consortium learning activities.
• Prepare and provide all the logistical support required by the different stakeholders in implementing the Project and Home Improvement products including ensuring full attendance at sensitization events, and monitoring visits.
• Plan and coordinate all Bank exposure visits at the respective OBUL branches.
• Assist Project Manager to track the monthly activities and expenditures; and also ensure they are in line with project work plans and budget requirements
• Maintain effective and efficient activity and financial record keeping and provide documentation/reporting as required.
• Ensure clear collection, summary and documentation of project success stories (delivered every quarter in close collaboration with OBUL field staff).
• Offer support in identifying project requirements through research, feedback and learning interactions with beneficiaries and other key stakeholders.
• Work with the different partners to develop, recommend and instill key performance metrics for efficient and relevant project tracking (milestones/deadlines/cost savings)
• Any other business as required by your Supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience:
• University degree preferably in Social Sciences, Development studies and a related field.
• Strong background in Projects planning and management
• Experience in financial service delivery
• Donor relations experience.
• Background in microfinance preferred
• Experience in credit

• Demonstrated ability to also work as a part of a team
• Competence in the use of Microsoft Office
• Excellent oral and written English.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
