ChildFund Uganda is working in over 30 districts to develop the capacities of local community based organizations to be able to mobilize resources and implement programs that improve the well-being of deprived, excluded and vulnerable children.
ChildFund Uganda is seeking to recruit the following staff for an anticipated three-year Maternal Newborn and Adolescent Health project in Busia and Mayuge districts in eastern Ugand .

JOB SUMMARY The Project Manager will oversee project implementation and provide technical expertise and quality assurance for project activities. This person will be ChildFund’s point of project contact with relevant, national, regional and district national stakeholders including the Ministry of Health, regional implementing agencies and local partners. The Project Manager will lead a team of staff implementing that prepares annual and quarterly implementation plans, oversee project activities: prepares reports and ensure the project is compliant with the donor and ChildFund Uganda regulations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
• Lead the achievement of all project deliverables (e.g. annual and quarterly work plans, detailed budgets, procurement plans) Experiences in quality improvement approaches for strengthening district and community health systems
• Supervise and monitor the work of project staff to ensure high-quality implementation that aligns with the donor regulations
• Oversee the application of strong M&E systems, program monitoring tools, and efficient mechanisms that support high quality implementation.
• Emphasize the use of data and learning for ongoing program improvement and adaptation
• Represent the project externally and maintain effective communication, coordination, and positive relationships with key stakeholders.
• Create and sustain a work environment of mutual respect where the project team strives to achieve project execution excellence

Qualifications & Experience: .
• Clinical background in medical field. A Masters-level degree in Public Health, demography or population studies is highly desirable
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience designing managing and implementing donor-funded maternal newborn/adolescent health, social and behavior change projects.
• In-depth knowledge of the Uganda health system.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively.
