Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) was established in 2006 as a public affiliated organization of the Ministry of Health and Welfare of the Republic of Korea (ROK) in honor of the Late Dr. Lee Jong-Wook, the 6th Director General of the World Health Organization. The Foundation’s objective is to promote international cooperation and humanitarianism through healthcare support for developing countries, North Korea, overseas Koreans, and foreign workers in Korea. With 17 years of experience in international health care assistance, KOFIH has supported more than 30 countries across the world in its bid to be a global partner towards healthcare improvement with three basic objectives: sustainable development cooperation, sustainable healthcare assistance, and sustainable reform.
Job Summary: Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) is seeking a dedicated Project Assistant with a strong background in the health sector to support our projects in Uganda. If you have expertise in operations management, offering administrative assistance and performing other project roles, this position is for you!
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage day to day financial and administrative function of the office (including staff safety and security)
- Perform all office administration duties including quotation requests, purchase order follow-ups, stationery supplies and IT support services
- Ensure compliance with financial internal controls, transactions processing and assets management in accordance with KOFIH Uganda office rules and regulations
- Prepare monthly/annual accounts closure including bank reconciliations and submit timely and accurate reports to the headquarters
- Support the office and other projects on audit, financial risk management and fraud prevention issues.
- Liaise with senior staff to keep informed of all developments and changes associated with project
- Perform any other duties as required by the supervisor
- BA, BSc or equivalent in public health, accounting, finance, administration or any other relevant field
- Registered Clinical Nurse
- 3-5 years of working experience in a related field
- Experience working with budget preparation and analysis, financing, reporting preparation and presentation, and the proven ability to translate technical financial data into informative report
- Working with diverse international teams and ability to communicate well in writing
- Advanced computer skills (SPSS, Microsoft office including Excel, word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent English writing and good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work proactively and under pressure.
