Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences; or Social Work and Social Administration; or Development Studies; or Public Administration and Management; or Business Administration (Management option); or Law, or Community Based Rehabilitation; or Arts from a recognized University / Institution. Possession of a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Protection; or Social Development; or Social Justice will be an added advantage.

Working Experience

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Program Manager for performing the following duties:-
1. Designing and implementing strategies and programmes for achieving the development objectives of the Council for Persons With Disability;

2. Developing and implementing training programmes for the Council’s organs;

3. Developing activity work plans and budgets for the Council’s programs;
4. Providing technical support and guidance in the implementation of the Council’s programmes;

5. Preparing and reviewing project proposals in order to attract funding for the Council’s programs and activities;

6. Carrying out needs assessment for the Council for Persons With Disability and communicate them to the relevant stakeholders;
7. Planning and carrying out capacity building for District and lower Local Government Councils for Persons With Disability so as to improve welfare;
8. Monitoring and evaluating implementation of the Councils’ programmes and activities;
9. Managing performance of staff;
10. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
