Description
Senior adviser (N1) – Programme and Learning Manager – citizen empowerment, engagement and accountability in Uganda, Democratic Governance Facility (DGF)
The Democratic Governance Facility (DGF) in Uganda is looking for a dynamic Programme and Learning Manager (PLM) with a passion for democratic governance to join its management team in Kampala.
The DGF is Uganda's largest democratic governance programme, working in all parts of the country in close partnership with dozens of civil society organisations and state actors. The brief for the PLM includes citizen empowerment, engagement and accountability. This is a position, which involves an exciting mix of political economy analysis, partnership development and programming. The ability to engage the team and take lead on constant learning, reflection and adaptation are key success factors for this role. As a member of the DGF's Senior Management Team, you will also play a role in the overall management of the facility, public representation and interaction with Development Partners through the Board and Steering Committee.
You hold a relevant Master’s degree, have a solid experience within grant making and management of development programmes, as well as working with state institutions and civil society organisations in a developing country context. Knowledge of current democratic governance related developments in Uganda is an advantage.
