JOB DETAILS:
Mkazipreneur is looking for an experienced Program technical specialist – livelihoods to support the design and implementation of livelihood-focused interventions including business skills training, access to finance, market and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive awareness of the project in different communities and build pipeline for the initiative.
• Collaborate with partners and local government to deliver livelihood-focused interventions
• Design and roll out business hands-on training programs for communities
• Create and activate learning communities and incorporate blended (in-person and virtual learning approaches) for the entrepreneurs being trained in the foundational course
• Support the learning efforts of entrepreneurs in the foundational course by approving assignments, addressing queries and offering guidance & feedback where necessary.
• Document and maintain records of support offered to entrepreneurs. This includes but is not limited to one-on-one sessions, information sessions etc. (Attendance sheet, meeting notes and action trackers)
• Develops sprint plans / roadmap on how to achieve quarterly goals of the program
• Participate in program activities like meetings, business clinics, Demo Day and facilitate sessions where required.
• Prepare individual activity reports as per the program standards in guidance by the program M&E team.
• Document & track lessons learnt per quarter.
• Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the program and develop new methods aimed at greater success.
• Support participants with practical skills for income generation.
• Facilitate market and capital linkage strategies for target beneficiaries.
• Document success stories and lessons learned.
• Facilitate educational workshops, meetings and conferences associated with the program.
• Interact with members of the community to help achieve project goals and objectives.
• Prepare detailed weekly timesheets as per the program template.
• Comply with policies and procedures governing the project
• Any other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor
Qualifications:
• Degree in Development Studies, Entrepreneurship, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in livelihoods or entrepreneurship programs.
• Deep understanding of gender-responsive programming
