Position Outcomes / Accountabilities

The position outcomes involve providing specialised project support to delivery teams, including coordinating meetings, maintaining project records, managing contracts, and ensuring stakeholder relationships are effectively developed and maintained. Additionally, the role involves contributing expertise to project management, ensuring compliance with financial and procurement processes, promoting safe team operations, and being adaptable to additional duties as assigned within the scope of employment.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in the role, the ideal candidate will possess applied expertise in project delivery, critical thinking, and problem-solving, demonstrated by effectively defining tasks, monitoring progress, and resolving issues. Additionally, foundational skills in stakeholder management and a practical understanding of business and commercial acumen are essential, ensuring efficient operations, clear communication with stakeholders, and accountability in engagements with external vendors.

On a personal level, the candidate will be characterised by flexibility and adaptability, readily embracing changes, and collaborating effectively with teams both within and outside their organisation. They will demonstrate outcomes-oriented thinking, fostering a sense of purpose within their team by aligning their work with the strategic direction of the branch and organization, and will excel in working collaboratively, promoting a supportive team environment, and facilitating information-sharing to address challenges collectively.

Qualifications And Experience

Mandatory

  • Proven experience in project delivery support role in a large organization or in a government department.
  • Experience and proficient in MS Office packages, MS Planner, MS Project, Zycus, Oracle, MS Teams, Share points and other project delivery related tool.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to be flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced delivery environment.

Desirable

  • Formal qualification (or working towards) Project Management, Business Administration or similar.
  • Construction induction training (white card)
  • Traffic control and management certification
