JOB SUMMARY
The Program Coordinator will be critical in managing and supporting the welfare of associates placed within various organisations through the Mastercard Foundation Associate Program. The coordinator will act as a relationship manager, responsible for all aspects of associate well-being, including safeguarding in the workplace, training completion, and mentoring and coaching support.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Associate Well-being and Safeguarding:
- Oversee and ensure the well-being and safety of all associates within the workplace.
- Implement and monitor safeguarding policies to protect associates from any form of harm or abuse.
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to associate welfare promptly and effectively.
Training and Development Oversight:
- Ensure that all associates complete their allocated training programs designed to enhance their professional skills and job performance.
- Monitor and track the progress of associates in their training and professional development activities.
Mentoring and Coaching:
- Provide one-on-one mentoring and coaching support to associates, helping them to navigate challenges in their professional and personal lives.
- Facilitate access to additional resources and support services as needed to support associate development and success.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the main point of contact between the associates, employers, and the Mastercard Foundation program management team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including associates, host employers, and training providers.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Regularly evaluate and report on the performance and progress of associates, providing insights and recommendations to the Program Lead.
- Ensure compliance with all program requirements and objectives, including reporting on key performance indicators.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
- Competence in program management software and tools, with strong administrative skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Social Work, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a coordination or supervisory role, preferably within a training, HR, or youth development program.
