Job Summary
The Procurement & Supply Chain Officer will manage procurement activities, supplier relationships, international consignments, prepare and submit bid documents for tenders and ensure compliance with procurement regulations. They will coordinate end-to-end procurement process and ensure cost-effective sourcing. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, strong negotiation skills and an understanding of supply chain best practices.

Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
o Identify, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality, economical and timely delivery.
o Prepare and issue request for quotations (RFQs), tenders, and purchase orders in compliance with company policies.
o Ensure that procurement processes adhere to local and international regulatory requirements.
o Monitor and assess supplier performance to ensure adherence to contract terms and service level agreements (SLAs).
o Prepare and submit bid documents for tenders and procurement opportunities.
o Ensure that all bid documents comply with tender specifications and submission deadlines.
o Track and maintain a database of submitted bids and procurement opportunities.
o Coordinate the importation and exportation of goods.
o Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and regulatory authorities to facilitate the smooth clearance of international consignments.
o Ensure proper tariff classifications, duty payments, and trade documentation are in order.
o Track shipments from origin to destination to avoid delays.
o Maintain accurate inventory records and optimize ensure stock levels for efficiency.
o Perform demand planning strategies to align procurement with business needs.
o Analyze procurement and supply chain data to improve efficiency.
o Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procurement laws.
o Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
o Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs.
o Submit regular reports to management on procurement and supply chain performance.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 3 years in procurement or supply chain management.
CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or equivalent certification is an added advantage.
