JOB DETAILS:

Job Summary:
The position holder will coordinate the procurement and disposal function of Mildmay Hospital Uganda and provide technical assistance to the Hospital Heads of Sections and any duly appointed Procurement Committee(s) on procurement and disposal matters.

Key Result Areas:
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of goods & services required by the Hospital and its stakeholders.
• Conduct prequalification exercises of suppliers, service providers, and contractors to maintain an up-to-date database of capable and legitimate suppliers.

• Oversee the process of receiving all invoices from suppliers, ensuring proper record-keeping, and verifying that all delivered items are as per the Local Purchase Order (LPO).

• Assist in the management of contracts and the disposal process of Mildmay Uganda assets, as may be required from time to time.

Qualification & Experience:
• A Diploma in Pharmacy, Clinical Medicine, or Nursing with qualifications in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum of 3 years’ practical experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, preferably in a Hospital setting or a large organization, preferably donor-funded.

• The candidate must be results-driven, with a commitment to high ethical standards, and possess demonstrable knowledge of Procurement Planning, Budgeting, and Contract Management.

• Membership of CIPS and full knowledge of accounting packages, preferably Navision, is an added advantage.
