Goodwill Ceramics Ltd is seeking a proactive and energetic Procurement Assistant to support the procurement and logistics function.. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining supplier relationships, handling minor purchases, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials. The role is based in Kampala and requires someone familiar with local suppliers, hardware shops, and able to move efficiently around town.

Duty Station: Kampala Showroom
Reports To: Procurement Officer / Logistics Manager
Salary Range: UGX 600,000 – 700,000 (commensurate with experience and abilities)
Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining supplier relationships, handling minor purchases, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials. The role is based in Kampala and requires someone familiar with local suppliers, hardware shops, and able to move efficiently around town.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
- Facilitate the movement and submission of procurement-related documents between offices.
- Track and follow up on deliveries of purchased materials to ensure timely receipt.
- Support supplier engagement and follow up on outstanding supply orders.
- Conduct minor purchases as requested by the logistics department.
- Source samples of required materials from various suppliers for quality assurance and evaluation.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and minimize procurement costs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree in Procurement and supply management from a reputable institution.
● Must reside in Kampala town and be readily available for in-town errands.
● Must own a motorcycle (with company-refunded fuel).
● Energetic, presentable, and confident in communication.
● Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
● Familiarity with various shops and hardware suppliers in and around Kampala.
● Good command of spoken and written English.
● Previous experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain is an added advantage.
