JOB DETAILS:
Salary Structure: NDU 7
No. of Posts: One (1)
Reports to: Procurement Officer
1. Purpose of the Job:
The Procurement Assistant will support the Procurement Officer in the execution of all
procurement related tasks of the approved Procurement Plan during the financial year by providing
critical advice and support which will guarantee timely acquisition of goods, works and services at
Ndejje University.
2. Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Business Administration, or other related courses.
2. A postgraduate qualification training/diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management
or Procurement and Logistics Management will be an added advantage.
3. A minimum of three (3) years of practical experience in the procurement of goods, works and
consulting services in a reputable organisation.
4. Proficient use of computer applications such as Excel, MS Word and systems like ERP and
SAGE is added advantage.
5. Practical knowledge of all key procurement principles.
6. Should have a high level of confidentiality.
7. Should be able to analyze data with experience in supplier evaluation and analysis.
8. Must be a person of integrity with the ability to make professional decisions.
10. An excellent track record of high ethical standards and professionalism.
11. A mature and practicing Christian who subscribes to the University’s Core values and
Philosophy.
12. A person of very good standing within the Church and community.
13. A person with experience in higher education institutions will have an added advantage.
14. Between 35-45 years of age at the time of application.
