Background information about the job or company:
The incumbent will be responsible to the Assistant Commissioner, Children Affairs for performing the following duties:-
- Documenting and disseminating information on the rights of all people especially the disadvantaged;
- Supervising, monitoring and evaluating child protection Institutions;
- Compiling quarterly and annual reports for child care and protection;
- Advocating for child care and protection;
- Developing and maintaining a data base on child care organizations;
- Developing and nurturing National, Regional and International networks and collaboration linkages for child care and protection;
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications or requirements:
- Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences; or Social Work and Social Administration plus a Masters Degree in Law; or Human Rights; or Social Sector Planning and Management; or Public Administration and Management; or Development Studies from a recognized University / Institution. A Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration/Management; or Project Planning and Management; or Law; or Social Justice will be an added advantage.
Experience needed:
Applicants should have a minimum of six (6) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been served at a Senior Officer level at relevant Department (Probation and Social Welfare, Community Development, Social Development) in Government.

- d)Print an Extract of PS Form 3 (2008) and obtain recommendation from the Responsible Officer. Scan the recommendation together with the rest of the documents and submit online.
- e)Those who fail to get a recommendation should proceed and submit and also indicate a reason on their application as to why they were not recommended.
