Job Title : Principal Medical Officer
Salary Scale : U2
Reports To : District Health Officer
Responsible For : Senior Medical Officer,
Senior Dental Surgeon,
Senior Allied Health Professionals
Job Purpose
To assist the Senior Principal Medical Officer in management of clinical services and deputize for
him/her

Key Outputs
i. Clinical services directed and their respective Heads supervised;
ii. Accountability for medical, fiscal and other resources made;
iii. Patients diagnosed and treated;
iv. Implementation of the Uganda Minimum Health Care Package coordinated;
v. Health information management systems supervised;
vi. Human resource management functions carried out;
vii. Health service delivery standards manuals provided;

Team building;

Experience Requirements

Six years working experience in health services management three of which must be at the level of Senior Medical Officer.
