• Job Summary:
  The Principal Entomologist Officer will be responsible for overseeing the research and management of insect pests, particularly those that affect agriculture. This officer will play a critical role in developing integrated pest management strategies to promote sustainable agricultural practices.
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research on insect pests affecting crops and livestock.
  • Develop pest control programs that minimize the use of harmful chemicals.
  • Advise farmers and agricultural stakeholders on pest management techniques.
  • Work with agricultural extension officers to implement pest control solutions.
  • Monitor pest population trends and provide early warning systems for outbreaks.
  • Train and provide technical support to district staff and farmers on entomological practices.

• Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the under listed vacant posts that exist in the Service of Kole District Local Government.
