Job Summary:

The Pre-Sales Technical Engineer is responsible for supporting the sales team by providing technical expertise and guidance during the sales process. This role involves collaborating with potential clients to understand their technical requirements and offering tailored solutions. The Pre-Sales Engineer will prepare technical presentations, conduct product demonstrations, and work closely with both the sales and technical teams to ensure a seamless handover post-sale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Solution Development: Work closely with the sales team to develop customized technical solutions based on the client's requirements. Assist in identifying appropriate products, services, and configurations that meet client needs.
  • Client Engagement: Engage with potential clients to understand their technical challenges, business objectives, and specific requirements. Provide expert advice and propose the most effective solutions.
  • Proposal and RFP Support: Assist in the creation of technical proposals and responses to RFPs (Request for Proposals). Ensure that technical content is aligned with the client’s needs and expectations.
  • System Design & Configuration: Design technical architectures and configurations that align with customer needs. Provide detailed specifications for hardware and network infrastructure.
  • Collaboration with Sales and Technical Teams: Work closely with the sales team to identify client pain points, develop targeted solutions, and address any technical concerns. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to provide the best solution and ensure successful implementation.
  • Market & Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings. Continuously build knowledge of the company’s products, solutions, and services to effectively present and demonstrate them to clients.
  • Post-Sale Support: Provide handover support to the delivery and implementation teams, ensuring that all technical requirements and specifications are clearly understood. Assist in the initial stages of post-sales implementation to ensure the solution meets the client’s expectations.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and technical stakeholders at potential and existing client organizations. Ensure customer satisfaction and build trust with clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a pre-sales engineering or technical support role, ideally in IT hardware, software, networking, telecommunications.
  • Strong technical knowledge of network infrastructure, software applications, cloud solutions, etc.
  • Experience in system design, product demonstrations, and presenting technical solutions to clients.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols, hardware, and enterprise-level software solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the ability to think critically and develop tailored solutions.
  • Proficient in creating technical documents, system diagrams, and presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
