JOB DETAILS:
Main Purpose of the Job:
To support the development and execution of Hugamara’s Corporate Communication strategy. This role is directly responsible for reputation management, fostering relationships with media, government, and stakeholders, acting as a key spokesperson, aligning messaging across the various brands, and advising leadership on strategic communications for brand enhancement and business goals.
This role is responsible for Hugamara as a corporate brand and also the various brands that the company owns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive PR and corporate affairs strategies aligned with business objectives, including media relations, government relations, and CSR.
- Media Relations: Serve as spokesperson, build relationships with journalists/influencers, secure positive media coverage, and manage media inquiries.
- Reputation Management: Monitor public perception, manage reputation risks, and lead crisis communications planning and response.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with government bodies, industry analysts, community leaders, and internal departments (Marketing, Legal, HR).
- Content & Messaging: Create press releases, articles, speeches, and work with the Marketing team to support the periodic conversation calendars for the various brands.
- Leadership & Advice: Advise senior management on strategic communications, manage departmental staff, and ensure consistent brand messaging.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven track record in PR, media management, and strategic communications.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of the political, media, and regulatory landscape.
- Data analysis skills to measure PR effectiveness.
- Problem-solving, adaptability, and leadership qualities.
- Relevant degree (Communications, PR, Marketing) and industry experience.
