On behalf of our client Imprint Hope, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Physiotherapist to work in Jinja.

Job purpose:
As a Physiotherapist at Imprint Hope, you will make a key contribution to IH’s mission by ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency and implementation of the required skill and research behind the therapeutic process. Your interpersonal skills, empathy, handling skills, and therapy expertise will help us provide culturally appropriate and evidence-based therapy sessions to make a positive change to the children and families under Imprint Hope’s program. As a Physiotherapist at Imprint Hope you must embody the core values of integrity, respect, understanding, teamwork, and excellence. Your skills will ensure the team prioritizes the stewardship of IH resources and the safety of all IH staff and clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform a complete history and systems reviews and determine appropriate tests and measures based on findings.
- Synthesize information independently obtained from the examination to determine clinical diagnosis for basic, uncomplicated cases. Seeking guidance for more complex issues.
- Identify impairments and their impact on function and disability and develop a plan of care that integrates therapy into the lifestyle of the family.
- Provides procedural interventions with mentorship as needed. Patient education is family centered by considering family lifestyle, environment, learning needs and collaborative goal setting.
- Identifies the needs for adaptive equipment and orthotic resources.
- Demonstrates entry-level skills in Physiotherapy practice and delivers evidence-based clinical care.
- Make judgments within the Physiotherapist scope of practice and level of expertise.
- Communicate with, collaborate with, or refer to peers or other health care professionals when necessary.
- Demonstrate professional judgment informed by professional standards, evidence (including current literature and established best practice), practitioner experience, and patient/client values. Communicate with physicians, other team members, third party participants and family regarding the patient’s goals and progress. Participate in patient conferences as assigned as a member of the health care team.

Basic Qualifications
- Degree in a related field (e.g., Physiotherapy).
- Fluent in spoken and written Luganda and English.
- Basic computer skills (typing, word processing, spreadsheets) are an advantage.
- Experience working with or knowledge about people with disabilities is a plus.
