JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary:
To be in charge of inventory and oversee its availability and movement, utilization in Pharmacies, wards and theatres.
Key Responsibilities:
• Make weekly and monthly stock status reports to measure and evaluate stock activity levels for stock and re-ordering purposes and maintain stock at agreed value targets.
• Organize and conduct daily, weekly and monthly cyclical stock counts for inventory management and control purposes; Prepare for stock take, data capturing, investigation of discrepancies.
• Review stock taking variance reports plus Identifying and reporting physical stock variances for action, suggesting solutions to Management.
• Oversee issuing of ward stocks and its utilization at wards and theatres.
• Oversee stock monitoring and movement in pharmacies; Ensure stock transfers, consumable transfers etc. are captured accurately and timely.
• Eliminate slow moving and redundant stock by means of constant communication with doctors, nursing staff, pharmacy and other stock controllers in the team.
• Ensure that expiry dates are checked and managed regularly and ensure a timely return to suppliers and/or write-off stock.
• Draft pharmacy stock-taking and duty Rota.
• Conducting any other duties allocated to him/her by the pharmacist.
Qualifications:
• Certificate in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year working in the healthcare setting in a pharmacy department.
