To provide expert guidance, knowledge, and support in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of life skills programs, ensuring they are comprehensive, relevant, and impactful for children and adolescents.

Job Description/Requirements

Job Description:
A) Expertise and Knowledge Sharing:
1. Provide Expertise: Offer deep knowledge and expertise in life skills education, covering areas such as self-awareness, empathy, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, coping strategies, and additional core topics.
2. Curriculum Development: Collaborate with curriculum developers to design and refine life skills programs that are age-appropriate, inclusive, and engaging.
 
B) Program Development and Enhancement:
1. Content Creation: Develop high-quality educational content, including lesson plans, training materials, multimedia resources, and assessment tools.
2. Innovative Practices: Introduce innovative pedagogical practices and technologies to enhance the learning experience.
 
C) Entrepreneurship Program:
1. Program Design: Develop and implement a youth social innovation and social entrepreneurship program consisting of two phases: problem identification and team formation, followed by solution development and business model creation.
2. Modules Development: Create modules on idea generation, project management, fundraising, marketing, and scaling up innovative solutions to address social challenges.
3. Support and Guidance: Guide young entrepreneurs in pitching their ideas and obtaining funding.
 
D) Digital Citizenship Program:
1. Program Design: Develop and implement a digital citizenship toolkit focusing on digital literacy, technology integration in pedagogy, digital infrastructure, teacher professional development, cyberbullying prevention, and student assessment in digital environments.
2. Content Creation: Develop educational content and resources to promote responsible online behaviour and critical evaluation of digital information.
3. Safety and Ethics: Emphasize personal information protection and ethical digital practices.
 
E) Training and Support:
1. Facilitator Training: Design and deliver training programs for teachers, school administrators, and parents to ensure effective program delivery.
2. Ongoing Support: Provide continuous support and mentorship to educators, addressing their needs and challenges in implementing life skills education.
 
F) Assessment and Evaluation:
1. Develop Assessment Tools: Create tools and methods for assessing the effectiveness of life skills programs and measuring student progress.
2. Analyze Data: Analyze assessment data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and adjust programs accordingly.
 
G) Collaboration and Partnerships:
1. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with educational policymakers, government agencies, and private sector partners to promote and integrate life skills programs.
 
H) Research and Continuous Improvement:
1. Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with the latest research, trends, and best practices in life skills education and related fields.
2. Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and update program content to ensure it remains relevant and effective.
 
I) Documentation and Reporting:
1. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of program materials, training sessions, and assessment results.
2. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on program progress, impact, and areas for development.
 
Desired Candidate Profile/ Required Experience & Qualifications:
A) Educational Background:
1. Master’s degree or higher in Education, sociology, Psychology,  or a related field.
B) Experience:
1. Minimum of 4 years of experience in life skills education, curriculum development, or a related area of teaching adolescents.
2. Proven track record of developing and implementing educational programs for children and adolescents.
3. Must have experience with building digital content.
 
C) Skills:
1. Strong expertise in life skills education and related topics.
2. Excellent curriculum development and instructional design skills.
3. Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
Proficiency in creating and utilising multimedia educational content.
4. Ability to analyse data and use it to inform program improvements.
5. Strong collaboration and partnership-building skills.
