The purpose of this position is to post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records.

Ensure the accuracy of an organization’s financial documents for payment, auditing and tax purposes.

Responsibilities

Weekly posting of petty cash and ensuring all petty cash is posted by month end

Processing of supplier invoices and ensuring completeness for Month End Closure

Supplier Reconciliation and payment processing in a timely manner

Statutory tax reconciliation and filling

Supplier payment

Weekly AP Aging report

Qualifications

Relevant undergraduate qualification ; Degree in commerce or a Diploma in accounting

Professional qualification : CPA (K) or ACCA

Minimum 1 year as an accountant with proven skills in payables.

Familiarity with various accounting systems e.g Sage, SAP

Ability to work under pressure

Good interpersonal skills

Attention to detail and proactivity

Strong analytical skills and excellent good communication skills
