JOB DETAILS:
Responsibilities:
- Prepare a wide variety of desserts, including cakes, pastries, cookies, and plated desserts.
- Develop dessert menus and create new recipes.
- Manage all aspects of the pastry section, including baking, decoration, and presentation.
- Control inventory for the pastry section, including ordering ingredients like flour, sugar, and chocolate.
- Ensure consistency and quality in all pastry items produced.
- Oversee the proper operation and maintenance of baking equipment.
Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in Pastry Arts or a related field.
- Several years of experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen.
- Expertise in baking techniques, pastry creation, and decoration.
- Creativity and a keen eye for detail and presentation.
- Strong knowledge of ingredients and baking science.
