JOB DETAILS:
About AMPLIFY Girls
AMPLIFY Girls is a network of 40 community-driven organizations (CDOs) in Africa committed to building agency in adolescent girls. We envision a world where agency and opportunity are granted to every girl and resources and respect are given to the community-driven organizations that support them. We do this by supporting the growth of organizations through intentional collaboration and learning; advocating for the inclusion of community-driven organizations in global decision-making spaces; and developing cutting-edge research that enables us to understand, measure, and maximize girls’ agency.

Job Summary - Partner Resource Director
The Partner Resource Director role is a unique position designed for an experienced development professional. The role is best-suited for someone who is prepared to both utilize world-class fundraising and networking skills externally for the benefit of our network partners and serve as a mentor and coach for organizations as they seek to improve their resource mobilization plans and tactics.

You will act as both a connector and a subject matter expert for our network of 40 diverse community-driven organizations with respect to their resource mobilization needs. A successful candidate will be able to both cultivate useful prospects and connections for the organizations in our network and advise on successful and sustainable fundraising strategies tailored to each organization’s model and unique strengths. The Partner Resource Director is not expected to solicit or acquire funding directly on behalf of network partners, but, instead, is expected to broker opportunities that set partners up to successfully solicit funding themselves. You must have a deep knowledge of the global development and philanthropic sectors and carry a desire to support local leaders in building their fundraising knowledge and skills while expanding their access to opportunities.
This role will report to the AMPLIFY Girls Co-CEO based in North America. The position is fully remote, though candidates must be based in North America, Europe, or Africa, and candidates should be comfortable working remotely in a virtual format while maintaining their own work-from-home setup.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Cultivating Development Opportunities for Partners
• Conduct desk research to identify new funding opportunities and networks that may be shared or leveraged to increase the flow of resources to AG partner organizations.
• Develop and manage a database of contacts, calls for proposals, awards, and funding avenues relevant for fundraising by AG partner organizations.
• Act as a project manager for identified joint funding opportunities and multi-organizational grants pursued collaboratively by AG partners.
• Oversee timelines, deliverables, and advice on drafting and strategy for joint funding applications to be co-led by multiple partners.
• Serve as the main point of contact for potential partner-supporting prospects and steward these prospects through an effective cultivation strategy that leads to partner funding.
• Support AG partners with conference prep and networking support as it pertains to potential fundraising and prospecting connections.

Partner Advising, Training, and Mentorship
• Work one on one in a mentoring capacity with partners to understand their fundraising needs and strategies and develop strategic recommendations that may lead to increased direct funding.
• Lead, periodically, training and workshops for AG partners that enhance their fundraising skills and understanding of effective fundraising principles.
• Work with the Director of Partner Learning and the Network Director to maintain healthy and active relationships with AMPLIFY Girls partners, assessing their resource mobilization needs and implementing strategies to support their growth.
• Work with the Director of Research and Evidence to track partner growth and engagement in fundraising-related training and coaching.

External Relations
• Represent AG and advocate for partner organizations at conferences and events where funders are present, as needed.
• Undertake special projects, as requested (eg, supporting unique co-funding collaborations that arise periodically, contributing to strategic planning exercises, participating in internal working groups focused on staff wellbeing, attending industry convenings in-person or virtually, etc.)
