Job Overview:

SEVEN RANGES HOTEL LIMITED, a premium hospitality provider in Moroto, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving business growth. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage multiple departments, develop and implement effective policies, and collaborate with other managers to achieve the hotel's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Oversight:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the hotel, including accommodation, food and beverage services, reception, and conference facilities.
  • Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by maintaining service excellence across all departments.

2. Policy Development:

  • Develop, implement, and enforce operational policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and service quality.
  • Continuously assess and improve operational processes to meet evolving business needs.

3. Staff Management:

  • Supervise, hire, and train hotel staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.

4. Budget Management:

  • Monitor and manage hotel budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, identifying areas for cost control and revenue enhancement.

5. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with department heads and other managers to ensure seamless coordination across all areas of the hotel.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication between departments to achieve operational goals.

6. Customer Relations:

  • Address and resolve guest complaints promptly, ensuring a positive resolution and maintaining high guest satisfaction.
  • Implement guest feedback systems to continuously improve service delivery.

7. Marketing and Business Development:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase hoteloccupancy and revenue.

8. Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure the hotel complies with all local, national, and industry regulations, including health and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance and address any potential issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel operations management, preferably in a similar environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
  • Experience in marketing and business development is a plus.
  • Knowledge of local languages and culture is advantageous.
