JOB DETAILS:

Job Purpose:

To provide comprehensive, high-quality nursing care to patients, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs, implement care plans, and promote recovery and health education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by doctors.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and condition, reporting any changes promptly.
• Provide health education and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
• Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols at all times.
• Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff and nursing students (for senior nurses).
• Ensure all medical equipment in the ward/unit is functional and clean.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma in Comprehensive Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Must hold a valid Practicing License from the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC).
• At least 2-3 years of post-registration clinical experience.
