About Organisation:

Cementers Limited is Primarily a Main Contractor with a core of direct staff and a proven supply chain of subcontractors, suppliers and consultants. Working on a strong teamwork basis in all related activities and with Directors fully involved. Cementers is a private limited company whose success has stemmed from having over 50 years experience within the building industry.

Job Summary: Ensure national content is cascaded down the supply chain by suppliers through follow-up and advising on execution of activities and enhance national content with in the supply chain. (such as guidance notes, tools and templates) Ensure timely submission of national content reports to the contractor and by the liaison officer Review, advise, improve and validate submission of accurate reports by the social team. Assist in the design and implementation of internal and external national content program activities especially capacity building activities knowledge in handling social matters and community engagements Record, assess and investigate staff social issues as they may arise and ensure full end to end closure. Stakeholder engagement; attending all meetings where need be in the project vicinities as a stakeholder requirement by the contractor

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum education: Bachelors of Arts in Social Sciences, or Social Work and Social Administration or Human Rights and Conflict Resolution in Africa or Public Administration
  • Proven knowledge of using Micro software packages i.e excel, outlook, PowerPoint, word-(MUST)
  • Good knowledge and understanding of procurement and contracting especially in Oil & Gas
  • Strong knowledge of workplace relations.
  • Accustomed to working in fast moving and changing environment.
  • Culturally aware and adapt at working across multiple geographies
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, internally and externally.
  • Work with minimum supervision

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2 or 3 years of work experience in a reputable organization preferably NGO
