JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will support the development, implementation, and coordination of the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework for TASO programs. The role includes tracking project progress, ensuring data quality, and generating reports to inform evidence-based decision-making and program improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Monitoring and Reporting:
o Develop and implement M&E plans and tools to monitor project activities.
o Conduct regular field visits to verify data quality and project implementation.
o Analyze quantitative and qualitative data and generate periodic reports.
o Track project performance against set targets and indicators.
2. Data Management:
o Oversee the collection, storage, and analysis of program data.
o Ensure data accuracy and quality assurance through regular reviews and audits.
o Train project staff on data collection tools and M&E frameworks.
3. Evaluation and Learning:
o Facilitate project evaluations, baseline surveys, and impact assessments.
o Document and share lessons learned, success stories, and best practices.
o Develop feedback mechanisms to incorporate insights into program design.
4. Capacity Building:
o Train and mentor project teams and implementing partners in M&E methodologies.
o Build the capacity of stakeholders to use M&E results for program improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree in M&E or Public Health is an advantage.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in M&E roles within nonprofit or NGO settings, preferably in health-related programs.
• Skills:
o Proficiency in statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, and Excel.
o Strong data analysis and report-writing skills.
o Excellent communication and presentation skills.
