Wagagai Mining (U) Ltd is a leading gold mining company with operations in Uganda. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mining Lab Analyst to join our team. As a Mining Lab Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our laboratory testing and analysis.

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mining Lab Analyst to join our laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a range of laboratory tests and analyses on mining samples, including geochemical, mineralogical, and physical tests. The Mining Lab Analyst will work closely with geology and mining teams to provide accurate and timely data to support mining operations and exploration activities.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct laboratory tests and analyses on mining samples, including:
o Geochemical analysis
o Mineralogical analysis
o Physical tests
• Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration and troubleshooting.
• Develop and implement new laboratory methods and procedures as required.
• Collaborate with geology and mining teams to provide data and support for mining operations and exploration activities.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory tests and results.

• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and instrumentation, including geochemical and mineralogical analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
