JOB DETAILS:

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Look after dressing packs and equipment
2. Prepare patients for operations
3. Take observations and Lab specimen samples from patients
4. Adhering to professional code of conduct and Ethics.
5. Teach student nurses on the wards
6. Prepare patients for referral

Duties and responsibilities of an enrolled Psychiatric Nurse.

1. Observing and compiling daily ward reports for the attention of the relevant authorities
2. Discharge of any other duty assigned by the In-charge.
3. Dispensing all psychiatric medication to the clients as prescribed by Psychiatric Clinical Officer
4. Psychiatric community outreach and follow ups for the clients
5. Working closely under the supervision of Psychiatric Clinical Officer
6. Quality psychiatric nursing care provided and high-risk cases referred
7. Health education, guidance and counseling provided to patients and relatives.
8. Medical supplies and sundries for psychiatric nursing care services requisitioned and accounted for.
9. Periodic reports and ensure confidentiality
10. Managing and accounting for allocated resources
