JOB DETAILS:
• Employer: Nurture Africa

Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care:
o Provide comprehensive medical consultations and treatments to patients.
o Diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions, ensuring high standards of patient care.

 

 

o Perform routine medical checkups and emergency interventions as needed.
2. Health Education:
o Educate patients and their families on preventative health measures, treatment plans, and proper medication usage.
o Promote awareness about health and wellness within the community.

3. Team Collaboration:
o Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, counselors, and administrative staff, to ensure seamless service delivery.
o Provide mentorship to junior medical staff or interns as needed.
4. Record Keeping and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate patient records, including diagnosis, treatments, and follow-up care.
o Prepare and submit periodic reports to the organization’s management as required.
5. Compliance and Ethics:
o Adhere to medical ethics and maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.
o Comply with organizational and national healthcare regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Education:
o Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution.
2. Experience:
o At least 2 years of post-internship clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare facility.

o Experience in community health or working with NGOs is an added advantage.
3. Licensing:
o A valid and current medical license to practice medicine in Uganda.

4. Skills:
o Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency cases effectively.
o A passion for community health and patient care.
5. Language Proficiency:
o Fluency in English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
