JOB DETAILS:
The objective of this post is for accurate diagnosing, repairing, and maintenance of  generators to ensure they are in optimal working condition.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Achieve accuracy in diagnosing generators issues on the first attempt, minimizing the need for rework.
• Complete all repairs within the estimated time frame, aiming for a 90% on-time completion rate to reduce customer wait times.

• Maintain a customer (donor and partners) satisfaction rating of 95% or higher by providing high-quality service, clear communication, and timely follow-ups.
• Ensure all repairs are completed with zero comebacks or complaints related to workmanship within 30 days of service.

• Maintain all tools and equipment in good working order, with no more than 5% downtime due to equipment failure.
• Optimize parts usage to reduce waste and control costs, ensuring that parts are ordered and used as needed without excess.
• Maintain a zero-incident safety record by following all safety protocols and guidelines during repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Properly dispose of hazardous materials (e.g., oil, batteries, tires) in accordance with environmental regulations, ensuring 100% compliance.

• Displayed effort in improving time management, reducing downtime, and completing more jobs per day.
• Reduce repair costs through efficient use of resources, accurate diagnostics, and avoiding unnecessary parts replacement.
• Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer warranty requirements, with zero incidents of warranty claims being denied due to improper service.

Requirements
• Minimum of diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Relevant 5 years’ experience in diagnosing diesel and petrol generator engines and other mechanical system malfunctions.
• Sound knowledge of generators, electrical systems both single and three phases.
