Key Responsibilities:

• Installation: Installing and assembling mechanical components and systems according to specifications and technical manuals.
• Maintenance: Performing routine inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to maintain equipment in optimal working order.
• Repair: Diagnosing and resolving mechanical malfunctions, including troubleshooting electrical systems and replacing worn or damaged parts.
• Preventive Maintenance: Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure long-term reliability.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and service history.
• Troubleshooting: Identifying the root cause of mechanical issues and implementing necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Safety: Ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols when working with machinery and equipment.
• Optimization: Identifying areas for improvement in equipment efficiency and performance.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical skills: Knowledge of mechanical principles, tools, and equipment.
• Troubleshooting skills: Ability to diagnose and solve mechanical problems.
• Mechanical aptitude: Understanding of mechanical systems and their operation.
• Attention to detail: Accuracy in inspections, repairs, and record-keeping.
• Physical stamina: Ability to perform tasks that require standing, lifting, and bending.
• Communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
• Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues.

Qualification

• Must have at least a diploma in mechanical engineering
• Previous experience handling and installation of production lines for (rice, maize, water, oil , wheat etc)
• Computer knowledge is a plus
• Proficient interpersonal & communications skills
• Possession of a valid driving permit is an added advantage

Experience

• Must have 6 (six) plus years of experience
