JOB DETAILS:
This position plays a critical role in ensuring that the mechanical systems and equipment that are essential to the production and distribution of pharmaceutical products are designed, installed, and maintained to meet quality, safety, and performance requirements. The incumbent will work closely with other departments and teams to ensure that the organization’s mechanical infrastructure is efficient, reliable, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Designing, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment that are critical to the production and distribution of pharmaceutical products, such as HVAC systems, compressed air systems, and water purification systems.
- Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs for mechanical systems and equipment to ensure that they operate efficiently and reliably.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical problems with equipment, and performing repairs or recommending equipment replacement as necessary.
- Conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with safety regulations, codes, and standards for mechanical equipment and systems.
- Collaborating with other departments, such as production, quality assurance, and facilities management, to ensure that mechanical systems and equipment support the needs of the organization.
- Participating in the design and construction of new facilities and equipment, ensuring that they meet quality, safety, and performance requirements.
- Analyzing data and trends related to mechanical systems and equipment performance, and making recommendations for improvements or upgrades.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Applicants should hold an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.
- At least three (3) years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment.
