JOB DETAILS:
Reports to: Transport Coordinator
Based at: Kakuuto in Kyotera, Rakai District, C/o. HEAD OFFICE – PLOT M611, NTINDA ROAD, KAMPALA
Objective
Key contact for EACOP at MCPY, assisting and reporting to the Transport Manager to ensure the smooth running of daily operations related to all AGL deliveries to the respective MCPY.
Position in the Organization Chart
• Internal Collaborators: Regional O&G Manager, Project Manager, Human Resource Manager, QHSE Manager, Security Team.
• External Collaborators: Client Liaison Officer, Camp Supervisor, Health Centre/Client Doctor, Tilenga National Content Supervisor, Equipment Maintenance Companies, Subcontractors (security, cleaning, fire systems, fumigation).
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
• Oversee the receipt of goods at MCPY:
o Supervise cargo unlashing as per EALS Procedure.
o Perform barcode scanning for pipes and prepare paperwork according to company procedures.
o Unload trucks, verify, and acknowledge delivery of goods.
o Prepare essential paperwork and upload documentation (e.g., PODs) onto EALS TMS.
• Dispatch duties for empty vehicles and receive loaded vehicles.
• Prepare daily truck received/dispatched reports.
• Conduct driver safety briefings and ensure correct PPE is worn.
• Ensure adherence to MCPY health and safety regulations.
• Perform risk assessments for unlashing and provide safety guidance.
• Improve site security and manage vehicle movements to reduce congestion.
• Coordinate communication between drivers and MCPY personnel using radios or hand signals.
• Minimize risks like blind spots during offloading/loading.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education Requirements & Work Experience
• Diploma or Bachelor in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
• Extensive knowledge/experience in import and export within an international environment.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Good knowledge of safe vehicle lashing/unlashing, loading/unloading.
• Familiarity with onsite QHSE requirements.
Skills Required
• Knowledge of QHSE policies.

• Strong communication and computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Attention to detail and fluency in English.
